Inspiring the Next Generation Through Music
Each year, Redfish Music Festival brings live chamber music directly into classrooms across Oregon's Southern Coast. Through engaging performances and interactive educational presentations, students experience the joy of live music while discovering the artistry, history, and creativity behind classical music.
For many students, these performances provide their first opportunity to hear professional musicians perform live, creating memorable experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
Music in the Classroom
Redfish Music Festival's K–12 Education Tours serve schools throughout Oregon's Southern Coast, from Reedsport to Brookings, bringing high-quality arts education to communities where access to live classical music is often limited.
Programs are tailored to each age group and combine live performance with interactive learning. Students experience chamber music performed by professional musicians while learning about string instruments, the stories behind the music, and the creative process through engaging demonstrations and conversation.
