Redfish Music Festival is led by a dedicated team of musicians, educators, arts advocates, music lovers, and community leaders who share a passion for enriching Oregon's Southern Coast through exceptional musical performances and educational opportunities. Together, they provide the artistic vision, organizational leadership, and community stewardship that allow the festival to thrive.

Fritz Gearhart

Executive and Artistic Director & Faculty Artist

Fritz Gearhart is an internationally recognized violinist, educator, and the founder of Redfish Music Festival. With more than 30 years of university teaching experience, he has performed throughout the United States and internationally, appearing at renowned venues including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Alice Tully Hall, and the 92nd Street Y. His performances have also been featured on National Public Radio's Performance Today and other national broadcasts.

Inspired by a lifelong passion for music education, Fritz established Redfish Music Festival to bring world-class chamber music and educational opportunities to Oregon's Southern Coast. As Festival Director and Board President, he leads the festival's artistic vision while fostering meaningful connections between professional musicians, students, and the community.

Andrew Smith

Board Member & Faculty Artist

Andrew Smith is a distinguished cellist, educator, and Professor of Music at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He serves as Principal Cellist of the Las Vegas Philharmonic and has performed throughout Europe, Asia, South America, and North America. A founding member of several internationally recognized chamber music festivals, Andrew has built a career dedicated to performance, teaching, and artistic collaboration.

As a member of Redfish Music Festival's Executive Council, Andrew helps guide the festival's artistic and educational programs while supporting opportunities for emerging musicians and expanding the festival's impact throughout the region.

Genevieve Feiwen Lee

Board Member & Faculty Artist 

Grammy-nominated pianist Genevieve Feiwen Lee is an internationally acclaimed performer recognized for her versatility across classical, contemporary, and experimental music. She has appeared as a soloist around the world, recorded extensively, and serves as the Everett S. Olive Professor of Music at Pomona College in California.

As a member of the Redfish Music Festival Board of Directors, Genevieve contributes her extensive experience as a performer, educator, and arts advocate while supporting the festival's commitment to artistic excellence and innovative music education.

Crystal Landucci

Crystal Landucci is a retired speech-language pathologist, pianist, educator, and longtime advocate for nonprofit arts organizations. A lifelong resident of Oregon's South Coast, she has dedicated her career to education, community service, and promoting music through teaching, performance, and arts leadership.

As a member of the Redfish Music Festival Board of Directors, Crystal supports the festival's educational initiatives and community outreach while helping strengthen its role as a cultural resource for the Southern Oregon Coast.

Sheila Howe

Sheila Howe is a licensed mental health professional, expressive arts therapist, and community leader with more than four decades of experience supporting individuals and organizations. Her career has focused on the healing power of the arts, community engagement, and nonprofit leadership.

Since moving to Oregon's South Coast, Sheila has become an active advocate for the local arts community. As a Redfish Music Festival board member, she helps strengthen community partnerships, expand audience engagement, and support the festival's continued growth.

Sarah Mautner-Giardinelli

Sarah Mautner-Giardinelli is a violinist, educator, and composer whose musical career has taken her from the United States to Europe and beyond. Following studies at Reed College and Brandeis University, she performed internationally while exploring diverse musical traditions before returning to Oregon, where she now teaches music and violin in local schools and continues to perform.

Sarah joined the Redfish Music Festival Board because of her passion for music education and her belief in the festival's ability to inspire young musicians while enriching the cultural life of the Southern Oregon Coast.

Phyllis Johns

Board Member

Phyllis Johns is a lifelong music educator and community advocate whose passion for music began at an early age as a flutist. After earning degrees from California State University, Sacramento and Fresno, she spent 33 years teaching elementary students in California and Oregon before returning to music following her retirement. She remains actively involved in community music programs and local arts organizations.

As a member of the Redfish Music Festival Board of Directors, Phyllis supports the festival's educational mission and community outreach, helping expand opportunities for audiences and young musicians throughout Oregon's Southern Coast.

Stephen Rogers Radcliffe

Stephen Rogers Radcliffe is an acclaimed conductor, educator, and arts leader with decades of experience directing orchestras, conservatories, and opera programs across the United States. He has held leadership positions with the Seattle Conservatory of Music, Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra, Boston Lyric Opera, and numerous universities, earning recognition for his commitment to musical excellence and arts education.

As a member of the Redfish Music Festival Board of Directors, Stephen provides artistic leadership and strategic guidance that supports the festival's mission of presenting exceptional performances while cultivating the next generation of musicians.

Charles Castleman

Charles Castleman is one of the world's most accomplished violinists and educators, with an international career spanning more than six decades. As Artistic Advisor, he provides guidance and mentorship that supports Redfish Music Festival's artistic vision, educational excellence, and commitment to developing future generations of musicians.

Megumi Rosier

Concert Manager and Festival Student Support

Megumi is a lifelong music lover, she owes much of her musical foundation to her teachers in Japan: Noriko Mochinaga, Sadao Shiojima, and Saburo Nomura. She studied at Toho College of Music in Tokyo, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance with a minor in Violin.

After moving to Oregon, Megumi established a private studio, where she has guided students of all ages. Passionate about serving others, her teaching and volunteer work are grounded in the belief that music plays a vital role in young people’s development, and that access to music education should be available to everyone. She is deeply committed to the idea that music not only shapes individuals, but also enriches and strengthens communities.

Outside of teaching and community work, Megumi enjoys listening to opera in the car, watching her youngest daughter dancing in a local ballet school and experimenting in the kitchen.

Kim Foster

Kim Foster leads the marketing and communications efforts for Redfish Music Festival, helping expand the Festival's reach, strengthen community engagement, and connect audiences with world-class chamber music on Oregon's Southern Coast. With more than a decade of professional marketing experience, she has developed global advertising campaigns and award-winning marketing strategies for organizations across a variety of industries.

Today, Kim oversees the Festival's branding, digital communications, advertising, and community outreach. Beyond Redfish Music Festival, she serves on the Port Orford Watershed Council, Port Orford Main Street, and the Port Orford Rural Fire Protection District, reflecting her commitment to strengthening the local community.
